Photography

Photography is the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface.

Etymology

  • The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light".
  • It was Sir John Herschel in a lecture before the of London, on March 14, 1839 who made the word "photography" known to the world.

I found a picture of Eiffel tower in black and white. I like this picture because it is black and white but it can show the main point that Eiffel tower is huge. This picture was taken from a low angle shot so it made the tower to look really huge. One third of the picture is the tower and other just white space.

I found a picture of man is walking while it’s snowing. I think this picture show a strong theme of loneliness by showing a back of man not front. This photography was taken from a long angle shot. Also this picture use rule of thirds and as well as value of color to make the picture seen to be more outstanding.

I think this photography is interesting to look because it seen to been very simple but by putting a bicycle in make the picture catches people attention. This picture was taken from a low angle shot. The color of the picture matches really well; most of the colors are primary color.
